Xiaomi re-entered the tablet market with the mid-range Pad 5 last year. While we are yet to see its successor, the company announced a budget-centric Redmi Pad, which is now available in Nepal. So, let’s look at the specs, features, expected price, and availability of the Redmi Pad in Nepal.

Design and Display

Redmi Pad is built around a 10.61-inch screen with a 2K resolution. Like most other tablets in this price range, the screen is based on LCD technology. It boasts a 10-bit color depth and typical brightness of 400 nits. Above all, the Redmi Pad has 90Hz refresh rate which is not something you see in a budget tablet.

Coming to the look, Redmi Pad sports a flat design with a 7.1cm thickness and 465 grams weight. The back is said to be metal and is available in three colors: Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, Redmi Pad packs the new Helio G99 from MediaTek. This chip is based on the power-efficient 6nm process and features two Cortex-A76 (@2.2GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores (@2.0GHz). The chip is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. You can even expand the storage up to 1TB using an SD card.

Camera

For cameras, it has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and an 8MP front-facing camera.

The front-facing ulrawide camera also supports the FocusFrame feature that adjusts the frame according to your movement. Likewise, both rear and front camera capture videos up to 1080p@30fps

Redmi Pad is equipped with a huge 8000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Xiaomi claims that Redmi Pad can provide up to 21+ hours of video playback and 12+ hours of gaming.

Likewise, it comes with MIUI 13 on top of Android 12 and it will get 3 years of security updates and 2 version upgrades of Android.
