Instagram is testing an ultra-tall photo feature with a 9:16 aspect ratio for its platform. It is being said that this feature will be launched soon after the next two weeks of testing.

In his weekly Ask Me Anything column, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said – You can now have longer videos (9:16 aspect ratio) on Instagram, but until now there was no feature available to view such large images. So we are also working on Ultra Tall Photo feature with 9:16 aspect ratio. With it, you can now watch the best content of large size photos and videos on fullscreen. We’re going to be working on testing it in the next few weeks.

Remember that currently only 4:5 aspect ratio feature is available for sharing photos on Instagram. If the photo is bigger than this, Instagram will crop the photo itself.

After the new feature, you can also share fullscreen size photos on Instagram.

Remember, Instagram was recently criticized for copying the features of Tiktok. Instagram has released a fullscreen video feed as a new feature.

Influential celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian also criticized the changes to Instagram. Then Instagram took down the feature saying that the feature needed some changes.
